A Response to Mr. Kalayu Abraha’s Article on Tins’ae Seb’a Enderta Party

A famous ‘TPLF-funded’ website called Aiga News aired an article targeting the newly established “TINSAE Seb’a Enderta Party” with the title afore-mentioned above. The writer is Kal’ayu Abrha and it appeared on 28th February, 2023. It consists of 7 paragraphs mainly targeting to tarnish the good image of the new Enderta Party by spewing venomous poison in a very beautiful honey-coated sentences. I will discuss the devilish embodiments buried in each paragraph latently hidden with idiomatic and strong constructions.
In the first and second paragraphs, he tries to praise, Enderta as “… a great land, with great people, and great history.” He also mentions Enderta’s great sons like Raesi Weldeselasie, Emperor Yohanees IV and Blata Hailemariam and hails them as great leaders, statesmen, liberators. He cites the British diplomats and Envoys who visited Raesi Weldeselassie based on their writings after they visited Hintalo (Enderta.) Arho (the salt mine in Afar which was a common economic route for Endertans) is also discussed briefly.
Then starting from the third chapter, the author exposes his real “person” and he starts to drop bombshells on the concept of “Endertawinet” by simply ridiculing our party, its causes, its visions without even trying why Tinsae Seb’a Enderta Party was envisaged. What surprises me a bit is that Kal’ayu feels very jealous and angry about the attention Tinsae was given within a very short period of time by coining such a sentence: “why it got so much of political attention in Ethiopia in the last couple of days….” He was honest enough to cry out his disappointment by telling us that it caught him off-guard when our party was a prime news analysis by the famous Sajid Nadim.
On the 4th Chapter, he puts beautifully about how our great Emperor Yohannes IV established Meqelle as his capital city which laid a cornerstone for a city in the blossom to shine as Northern star in the coming 100 years. However, it is unfair not to tell his unfounded claim which he iterates that:”…for a century until the 1990 no town in Tigray was more vibrant than any other. Either they were all equally economically good or economically bad…” That is not true!! Meqelle was more beautiful, more well planned and more economically viable than the remaining provincial (Awraja) towns in Tigrai. This was true starting from the tyrant Dergue Regime. He also sides with the truth by claiming: “There were times during the formative years of (the) TPLF the inherited localism became a spoiler and wreaked havoc to the young political organization…” In his article, Kal’ayu describes localism or parochialism as a potent dividers in the Tigrean society.
What I can voice out as a white lie from this article is that his understatement ascertaining that “… localism was fading out into history.) (Paragraph 5, line 2) What a lame statement which emanates from lies and falsehood which tries to bias the real conditions in Tigrai. As a start-up, he blankly denies such undertakings “HINFISHFISH” which tried the TPLF in its young ages in which the leadership was characterized with localism and narrowism putting some TPLF fighters from ADWA, SHIRE and AKSUM into the upper echelon. Fighters from other provinces (Awrajas) complained about sidelining and marginalizing them from the leadership positions of the TPLF (refer Gebru Asrat’s Book.) This political ailment was not treated properly and hence, it has lingered for many years to come and becomes a cancerous disease which follows the TPLF leadership to this day.
Paradoxically, the author of this article exorbitantly tries to explain and correlates the political, social and economical problems the noble people of Enderta are facing with urbanization!! It may seem scientific but not true in our case. Why? The reason is the upper echelon of the TPLFites methodically and structurally have designed a land grab and social eviction in and around the City of Meqelle. We believe that the TPLFites evicted some indigenous city dwellers and Enderta farmers without their consent from their lands with a small compensation price of 2.30 Birr per square meter. Many farmers and towners have been exposed to misery and economic bottlenecks after their lands rights were stripped off.
On the last and 7th chapter, he acts as a political party specialist in which he tries to totally deviate the very concept of forming a political party by ridiculing the socio-politco-economical demands of the People of Enderta as “..a legal issue not a political one. He even tries to advise to hire “.. a strong group of attorneys of law to take land grabbers to court.” But what he this article is missing deniably is that the farmers and the people of Enderta suffer from a number of repressions, suppressions, subjugations, authoritarianism, tyranny, political inequalities. Why was then fighters like Aregash Gebru, Nebiyusihul Mikael, Tsigabu Qobae, Fitale Lemma, and many courageous Enderta youth and parties like Arena and its members fought against cruelties and clampdowns of the TPLFites and paid indescribable sacrifices including imprisonments and life losses.
To your dismay, the author tried to twist the very essence of why parties evolve. Political parties involve partisanship because they represent and support particular views or policies that would be supported by a part of the society and its interests. Hence, “Tinsae Seb’a Enderta Party” envisages to represent the political, social, justice, and economical aspirations of our people: aspirations embedded in, democracy, freedom, equality, empowerment, inclusiveness, coexistence, fair distribution of wealth, etc. Last but not least, as stipulated in the Sovereign and superior law of the land (Ethiopa) i.e., Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation, in its article 31 entitled “Freedom Association” states that …. Every person has the right to freedom of association for any CAUSE and PURPOSE!!
In summary, Mr. Kal’ayu Abrha, I’d like to thank you for your kinds words about the noble People of Enderta; nevertheless your efforts to undermine the party established by its sons and daughters to be a voice for the Enderta People is nothing but undemocratic and hence not only unfounded but also UNCONSTITUTIONAL!! This in turn violates the rights of any people to the basic rights of association, organization and self-governance. While you approved the rights to establish a political party for the noble people of Erob, you have limped when you addressed Enderta!! Shame!!
I think what Medhin should understand is that it is not the best interest of the people of Tigray to entertain the political party organized at Wereda or Awraja level, in particular at this point in time. The people of Tigray no matter where they live, have the same problem and the solution is also the same. Let’s work in unison to solve their multifaceted problem, they faced currently. If there is a specific problem fthat affects a specific group that should be addressed within the context of Tigray. It is my believe that unless there is egoistic self-interest or narrow minded secterian tendency, I do not think Tigray need multiple parties which does not have major differences in ideology. Care should be taken not to distort history. History of Tigray is history of all Tegarus, not a particular locality or sectors of the society. Organizing in such a way to Promote such kind of trends is not only a divisive, but also being an agent of Tigray’s enemies.
Fully agree. Why do we even need political party? it is not our idea, It is not part of our ideology. it is not part of our culture, history or civilization. It is like grafting orange on banana which does not work. I am advocating for the annulment of all parties those even established. We have Baito where every citizen age 16 or 17 or above participates actively . In Baito every man of age participates, elects leaders or removes leaders. Why do we need other people idea? Different society has different history, different culture and different mindset. One size trouser cannot fit all men. Political party is a western idea and it works for them, but it is not organic for us and do not even know it. in our culture, history, civilization, we have no the culture of protesting, throwing stones, burning things, etc. in our culture, history, civilization, people sit together and discuss and solve problem. We have no violence . We have to throw away all these things from China, Russia, USA and use our Baito and develop it to fit our needs. This district political party is 100% ploy of Abiy Ahmed Ali and has nothing to do with Enderta or Tigray. It is meant to worsen the situation in Tigray more than it is bow, I can assure you this is a ploy of Abiy Ahmed Ali . Some people are willing to sell themselves to kill their own people as Suhulmichael did it. This guy is even using Suhul Michael is a model? Suhul Michael is a criminal and a genocider. just because he is from Enderta it seems the writer is telling us Suhul is free to kill his people? I even doubt Suhul is Tigraway since he said he wanted to eradicate the name of Tigray. By mere emulating Suhulmichael the writer has exposed him and his idea as trash. Suhul is a criminal and any Tigraway who does crime is wanted. Just because someone is from Enderta he or she has no right to be mercenary. Anyways, this party is dead before birth. I am sure 100% no sane Tigreway will buy into this illness.
i did not read the article of kalayeu to be honest. Reason, I did not like the whole idea of Enderta political party even to be a point of talk. Oh man, what is Enterta Party? this is Abiy Ahmed Trojan horse in the name of Tigray people. If we have to agree with this brother, then we need political party for 70 Damamo, 70 Wolkait, 70 Humera, 70 Shire, etc. This is more dangerous than the Tigray Genocide .
First and foremost, you do not write an article with out an author. You have to include your full name. I am surprised aiga posted this. The other thing, the author is attacking the person Kalayu for opposing the party he is talking about. I am sure all Tigreans must support such divisive party formation that aims to split Tigray into pieces which does not match our history and civilization. We must not even waste time on this since all our pe9ple are in dire situation. Our people needs to be save from Genocide . Leave alone to form a new party now, even the existing party which are formed around the idea of Tigray has to be dissolved . Reason, political party is not ours and is not part of our history, culture and civilization. Political party is western idea that came to exist in the 20th century as an offshot political ideology. Just because TPLF we cannot burn our history, civilization. My argument, this is idea is a trash that does not match Tigrean civilization. I am sure Tigreans from across Tigray will not fall to this petty drama of Abiy Ahmed Al. They says, if you cannot divided them, you cannot win them ? it smells like that for me. The writer, our brother is telling us about Suhulmichael? is Suhulmichale the guy who supported Tigray genocide? If you are emulating Suhul? then do sanity check my brother. Suhul is a genocider who participated in Tigray Genocide. Suhul will be a wanted man in Tigray when things get right.. ARENA has supported Tigray Genocide and none of those you mentioned can represent any Tigreway be it from Raya, Mekelle, Shire, etc. Brother do not you have any job to do than to form this kind of party? It is a bomb planted in Tigray to do second round Tigray Genocide, so that Tigreans can kill each other based on Awraja? I 100% believe this is wrong and dangerous to all Tigreans. This must be rejected by all Tigreans. Otherwise, these adds more fuel the problem we have on our hands. I am advocating, we have to dissolve all the parties that even existed and replace with Baito ideology.

The nameless author also is talking about democracy , freedom, etc.. Where on earth is political party formed by district or country? in America, Canada, Europe? where on earth? This is weird. You will never find this kind of formation anywhere. Tigray is under genocide, siege and it needs to exit from Genocide, siege, occupation and rape, starvation. The nameless brothers also tries to teach us about Ethiopian Federal law, constitution? This is an insult to all Tigreans. Man, where are you living ? There is no federal law or constitution in Ethiopia now. The law and constitution in Ethiopia now Abiy Ahmed Ali and his sponsors. If there was constitution in Ethiopia, we would not have genocide in Tigray. We would not have millions of people killed and raped. We would not have been occupied by Amhara and Eritrea now. Our people would not have been under siege. So my brother you Enderta party is dead before its birth. Reason if is a ploy to do second round genocide or your party will be responsible for second round Genocide and who ever sponsored you he designed you to destroy Tigray including Enderta. Note the 70 is not ubique to Enderta, all TGigray is called 70 x, y, z You party must not be allowed to exist. It must be disallowed in Tigray. If you are after Ethiopia,, then you must go to Ethiopia. Tigray is not Ethiopia. Tigray aka Aksumiet was never part of Ethiopia, I am telling you this based on facts of history. I suggest you must pack from Enderta and go to Addis Ababa to your buddy Abiy Ahmed Ali. The people who formed this party must be outcasted from all Tigray societgy. We must not tolerate this kind of insanity.
I think Kalayu did a big mistake in connecting this new mercenary party with any part of Tigray society.. Not in the name of Enderta. We are not stupid to allow this. We cannot destroy our people in the name of TPLF. You cannot divide our people for the sake of enemies, I am sure Abiy Ahmed Ali has paid huge money to buy this guys. The writer is even preaching us about Ethiopian constitution? Does he think all Tigreans are stupid to fall into this new trap? This is a trap not only for Enderta, but for all Tegarus. Say no to any party leave alone to new, even to the old one. We need unity more than ever. All Tigreans must reject and despise this idea of district party and even any party for that matter.
Tigrean must not allow this to happen. All Tigreans must denounce, reject, despise, this idea. This idea is the dirtiest idea. This idea is much worse than TPLF . This guys wanted us to kill each other now while we are still nursing our injuries of rape, genocide, drones victims, … this world has crazy people. This is stupidity. This is suicidal of Tigray. This action is more worse than the genociders action on Tigray. At this time an Tigraway who work to divide Tegarus under the pretext of TPLF bla bla is our enemy. The people who do this are enemies of all Tegarus. No Tigraway who has 5 sense must accept this. Do not tolerate mercenaries. Do not give a foot hold for mercenaries, Nib them before they spread and spew their poison and they are the real poison who can be used effectively by our mortal enemies, Just because TPLFites are stupid, we cannot kill the whole Tigray in the name of TPLF. if this was really for Tigray, they would have formed Tigray party even though we do not need even if the idea of party after now.. Anyway, Hedeera Kulukum Tegarus, from Raya to Mereb, reject his evil enemy agenda. The person is who is doing is paid off money to destroy his own people.
The writer is telling us because TPLF has done wrong things, he has to do so/ Two wrongs do not do things right. just because has done many bad things to Tigray, we do not have to recycle or redo wrongs. Two wrongs do not make anything right. You district party is worse than TPLF. At least TPLF has the name of Tigray in it and you do not have this. You position yourself with a clear purpose to divide and to destroy Tegarus? This an engineering and computer term or phrase called, divide and conquer and destroy. That is your mission. You wanted to divide and to destroy Tegarus to get money from your sponsors? shame on you man or woman. She is on you, big shame. You even have a gut and you came out to defend this backward idea? you have no even any iota of moral to talk about TPLF since you are a district man. This is an insult to the Enderta resident Tegarus. I suggest you do not use their name or the name Enderta. Endera as primivial Tegarus own Tigreans civilization. You have no rights to micromanage them to sell them to Abiy Ahmed and Issayas. If you were sane, you would have focus on the Tigray problem that has gripped now for 4 years. This is 100% betrayal and the same betrayal of Huhulmichale. To make it clear, u told us Suhulmichael is your model ? A criminal, a genocider Suhul is your model for Enderta ? Zeythafr kurub?
My apology, that i did not read this and for unknown reasons, I skipped it and thought the article did not have an author. I was wrong. The article has an author. My sincere apology my brother about my short sighting. But I do strongly believe if you are Tigreway, you will abandon this dirty idea of new district parti. Otherwise, we will have agame Party, Tembien party, Hawzien party, Humera party, Alitena party, all the 70 parties. This is a none starter and a suicidal idea for Tigray. It is even very embarrassing this came out of the people of Tigray. But no surprise since there Tigreans like Suhulmchael who supported and endorsed and participated in Tigray genocide. I believe people like Suhul people who suffer from mental illness. We have many ill people in Tigray now. Those who participate in Tigray genocide are terminally ill and we have to think of bringing them to the law of Tigray when times allows. Emulating them as good people who represent Enderta is itself is a crime. No society of Tigray welcomes Genociders. I can assure you, we will need one day Suhul to appear in the court of Axum for justice for his involvement in Tigray genocide No Tigray has license to be criminals just because he belongs to a certain district. if you are associating, emulating the crime of Suhul Michael, then you are making yourself a criminal by association. Take note, you have no rights to associate with genociders.
Thank you all for your reactions to my article. Gidena. You may be young you may be old. I don’t know. But let me tell you that you are becoming more Catholic than the Pope. Kalayu is one of the top Enderta intellectuals and has been deep in Enderta politics for the last 50 years. No one can claim to be more Enderta than Kalayu. I know the first hinfishfish first hand. I did not hear it like you I saw it. No need to tell you in public what happened to me all my life as a result. If TPLF was too bad to trigger the first hinfishfish Enderta cannot be equally bad to retaliate. I started with how noble Enderta is. I am talking including my own parents and grandparents. If they are noble they cannot go the wrong path TPLF took. With its benevolence Enderta can be a unifier rather than a divider. Enderta, with the right legal tools of protecting its social and economic integrity can benefits from being a centripetal force of Tigray. Work for that Gidena! My article is not a venom; it is anti- venom. Enderta are my people. I am the last person to want to harm them. It is my way that can help them; not yours. You did not mention what I wrote about making effort to attract investment to Enderta rather than feed dirty sectarian politics to the poor people. Please Please don’t be a proxy of the forces the Enderta people fought against in 1943. YOUR PARTY IS THE LAST THING THE PEOPLE OF ENDERTA NEED. 18 airstrikes in Mekelle, Dongolat, Togoga!!!!!! Who did it? TPLF? ADWA? Don’t be a fool or selfish.
