The above question is directed to Abiy Ahmad Ali, a pathetic and a genocidal maniac person to answer. Ali made a long speech in one book inaugural ceremony that was held in Addis Abeba last week. The title of the book is” The Betrayed Northern Command”, and it is said that the author is Gashaye Tenaw. Understanding from the title of the book, it is likely that the book is talking about the war in Tigray. Ali in his speech has said that “even in war there are people who can benefit out of it”. It is not clear to whom he is referring. Further he gave example by saying that during Ethio-Eritrean war he was in Tigray, and what he observed during that time is that the people of Tigray were actively participated in deporting Eritreans with the aim to take their possessions. According to Ali, he attended the book inauguration ceremony accidentally, without an invitation. However, knowing his addicted behaviors to lie and taking into consideration the long speech he made at the ceremony, he scheduled to be there through his advisors long before the book review inauguration ceremony. Understanding Ali behaviors, the central messages what he wants to send to the public is to spew hate and incite conflicts against the people of Tigray, and to create more indignations and animosities between Ethiopian and Tigrians and between Eritreans and Tegarus. By saying this he wants to pull Eritrea to Ethiopia, and on the reverse, repel Tigray away from Ethiopia. Although I don’t want to speculate to give my judgement about the contents of the book, who the real author was, how this book was published within a short period of time, and what is the central messages the book wants to send to the readers is not my interest to comment here. My interest here is to comment on few issues what Ali has spoken during the book inauguration ceremony about Tigray and its people. As we know, whenever Ali opens his mouth, there are no times, he skips without talking bad things about Tigray and its people. He did the same during his speech last week book inauguration ceremony, and I will comment on few issues he raised as follow.
1. Ali effectively exploited this occasion to spew anti-Tigrians hate, and by doing so, he ascertained the possibility of Tigray secession from Ethiopia, assuming this will help him to stay in power. Ali knew as long as Tigray is part of Ethiopia, his “throne” will not be safe. The same thing is true for the dictator in Asmara. Isayas believe that as long as TPLF is in power in Tigray, he will not get a chance to mingle in the internal affairs of Ethiopia, and exploit Ethiopian human, financial, natural and material resources.
2. Ali wants to justify the Tigray ethnic cleansing, and a genocidal war by saying that the reason he went to war is because of the attack of the Northern command by Tigray militias. No one is denying the truth that the Northern command was attacked by Tigray militias at the eleven hours, when Ali and his associates, Isayas and the Amhara Janjaweed militias are completed their preparation to annihilate the people of Tigray within two- or three-weeks’ time. The action taken by Tigray militias is a self-defense, similar as “stand your ground”. Because the regional state of Tigray is a legal land territory to the people of Tigray, and the Northern command is stationed in Tigray land with the aim to keep the entire Ethiopian territory and its people from an external threat, in particular from Isayas “Armageddon” foot soldiers. Beside this according to the Ethiopians federal constitution, no other federal state militias have the legal right to enter to another regional state territory without the knowledge of both central and the regional state government. Unfortunately, the Northern command which should protect the people of Tigray from external enemies conspired secretly for 2 consecutive years with Isayas and other foreign actors to attack the people of Tigray. As it is crystal clear for any politicians who closely follows the Ethiopian politics, the cause of the war is not what Ali and his supporters are saying. The purpose of the war is well planned by Ali, Isayas and the Amhara elites together with their external supporters who have an intention to annihilate and subjugate the people of Tigray and if this is not possible, to disintegrate Ethiopia. This is what we are seeing and hearing from some Amhara extremist, if they do not illegally conquer Wolqait and Raya, let “Ethiopia be like Libya and Syria”.
3. In his speeches Ali called the people of Tigray “enemy”. Although this is not the first time Ali is calling the people of Tigray an “enemy”, his speech indicated that he doesn’t have interest to solve the ongoing war through peaceful negotiation. Hence either way, war or using starvation as a weapon of war, the suffering of the people of Tigray will continue unless something has done both by TDF and the world communities.
4.By fanning and exaggerating false and fabricated narratives about the war and citing Gashaye Tenaw book as his reference, Ali together with his collaborators are striving to create a fake Ethiopian history at the expense of the people of Tigray. In Ethiopia many historical books were published by different authors. Unfortunately, the majority of them have close relationship with former rulers. Because of this, the majority of the historical books in shelf or at people’s hand are either magnifying the ruling class role or admiring the role and contribution of one ethnic groups in creating Ethiopia or protecting Ethiopia from external enemies. As we know, the history of Ethiopia was started from the north, and over 80% of the foreign aggressions were came through this part of Ethiopia. Hence, the contribution of the people of Tigray in creating Ethiopian history and in protecting the country from external aggression is enormous, and undeniable. Unfortunately, in history, there are times where lies kills truth. Lies, deceptions, say one thing and do another are Ali’s administration modus operandi. Understanding Ali, who he is, what he is doing or his decision-making styles will not be my concern anymore. My concern is the silence of the Ethiopian people when their common history, and social ties are damaging and their country is at the verge of disintegration by a man with unstable mind.
5. This is the first time for Ali to confess that he and his associates are benefited from the war in Tigray. Because by his order all Tegarus private/public fixed and current assets are confiscated, looted, or destroyed illegally. As I understood from Ali’s speech only bad, corrupted, and irresponsible politicians like him, weapons manufacturing companies and their lobbyists, Saboteurs military high ranking officers, foreign adversaries who have geo-political interest on Ethiopian are profited out of this war. However, more than anybody, Shabia, United Arab Emirates and Turkey have got the highest net profit margin out of this devastating war. This means, thanks to Ali and other Banda’s, it is the Ethiopian people who are killing each other’s, but others are profiting out these tragedies. Thanks to some Banda’s, Ethiopia is not only in the states of religious, moral, ethical and professional bankruptcy, but also in total economic collapse. Sorry to say the following but sometimes it is important to speak out the truth, if it helps to save millions of lives and protect the country from imminent disintegration. It is only in Ethiopia, where the insane people sacrifice their country’s future to keep one insane man in power! I wish professor Mesfin Araya abandoned the National Reconciliation Commission and start examining Ali’s mind status and publicize his finding to the Ethiopian people! A society who accepts oppression as a norm is serving as a good media to propagate many dictators, who knows only how to create conflicts between different functions within the country. Yesterday and today, it is the people of Tigray and Oromo who are suffering at the hands of dictators, Ali and his associates. No body know, who will be next tomorrow?
Finally, as I mentioned above, Ali accused the people of Tigray as if they are cooperated with the government in deporting of Eritreans from Tigray during the Bademe war. According to Ali, this is because they want to takeover Eritrean properties. I knew Ali is the pathological Layer, but there are some who took him as his word. When the government of Ethiopia started deported some Eritreans, I have had a power of attorney to administer one Eritrean family properties during that time. At one time, the local municipality official held a meeting a meeting with all Ethiopians who administered the deportees Eritreans properties. The official of the Municipality ordered us to sell all properties belongs to deported Eritreans within one month. I asked who decided to do so. The official told me that the decision was came from the then National Intelligence and security Service. I replied to him that I will not sell the properties, because first, the National Intelligence office does not have the legal power to make such decisions, and second, I was not told by the owner to sell the properties. I told him that whether we like it or not this matter was between two countries and if it is a must that the properties should be sold, the decision should come from the central government. For my interest I asked him where the money will go after selling? He told me it should be kept in the bank in the name of the property owner. After one month, the local municipality trespassing and illegally took all Eritrean properties from us. As far as I knew, in the town where I lived during that time, except one person (not a Tigran man) no Eritrean properties were sold (knowing the complexity of the process, nobody wants to buy Eritreans property). As we know the government of Ethiopia (EPRDF) has called all deported Eritreans to come to Ethiopia and re-claimed their properties. It is not secret that, except very few (at national level) the majority of Eritreans has regained their properties (in a town where I lived before except one all deported Eritreans got their properties). Regarding this issue, it is not Ali, a Lier who should tell us whether or not those deported Eritreans not regained their properties they left in Ethiopia. It should be those deported Eritreans who should tell the truth to the Ethiopian people that their properties they left in Ethiopia was illegally abused or confiscated by Tegarus or other Ethiopians. What is true is that in 1998 (Gregorian calendar) the cost of the two houses I administered was worth not more than 525,000.00 Ethiopian birr. But 14years later, the average worth of the same houses in 2012 is not less than 7 to 8 million E. Birr. At this time the worth is more than 25 million Ethiopian birr. Is it a coincidence or luck? I do think it is both. Many Eritreans sold their properties in highest prize and they gain by far more profits than they expected. This is the facts on the ground, not a lie what Ali has said. When the law-abiding Ethiopian government, under Meles Zenawi allowed deported Eritreans to come to Ethiopia and took their properties, the lawless, hooligan terrorist sponsor Isayas did not do the same, and many Ethiopians (the majority of them are Tegarus) lost their properties in Eritrea. Ali do not have a moral and ethical ground to talk about these issues. Because while he is in fond of the dictator. he is intoxicated with hate against the people of Tigray!
Tigray Will Prevail!
