There is a government in Tigray. It is a government elected by the people and has the mandate to govern in peace and war times.

People, assuming they have good intentions, ought not to play with fire. In the name of democracy and good governance they ought not undermine the will of the people. One cannot talk of democracy and topple a government brought about by democratic means, just because one feels one is better equipped to run a nation.

A story to narrate that happened in a peasant household goes as follows: that there were a couple, unfortunately in every aspect of life their thoughts  and mo·di op·e·ran·di were opposite to each other.

One day they were travelling on foot to a distance place to attend a wedding ceremony. On the way they had to cross a river. The man took. lead and crossed first, then the wife followed. Halfway through she was caught by a rash of sudden flash food. Struggling to cope but with imminent danger, the man lean forward and stretch his cane to reach and told her to hold the end of the cane so that he would pull her over. Instead the woman  moue with a pouting grimace and grabbed a twig floating on poppling froth and with that done she was carried away by the flood to her death. ንሕልካ ዓፍራ

Just because some detested the TPLF for good reasons if the past, when now they are the only capable force to deal with crisis, that we have to reject the offer and choose otherwise.

Only a person faced with a rash of waves of thoughts to deal with an emergency to resolve but fails to pause even for a fraction of second to come up with the right decision, can blame no one but him/herself. Only Isayas if Eritrea is capable doing that because he is a dork with a dead brain.

Likewise because the road ahead is complex and intricate, it is especially not the time for a drastic change in governance. Furthermore, despite differences of opinions, no one can deny Tigray survives today because the TPLF did not let us down!

How sure are people suggesting technocrats are equipped with  and are jannock/honest enough to lead. Don’t we have many African countries, including Ethiopia led by Doctors (Abiy Ahmed), who are wallowing in miseries!

If there are shortfalls now, the technocrats who complain ought to readily provide support when needed and called upon. They shouldn’t wait for a vacuum to be filled – that is opportunistic!

If anyone is working to improve the lives of many. one ought not expect a personal reward in return. Nor one ought not hope to secure an office or fame for the services he or she offered. Let the people who benefited from the services and sacrifices one offered and be thankful in return. Otherwise the people who complain of shortfalls they see, are using these shortfalls as cracks to exploit to make personal gains. Opportunism pure and simple!

That is not the way to go about creating a reliable outcome. When survival is the priority, trust and solidarity is the logical strategy rather than infighting which only benefits the enemy! In democracies  you sometimes have to live with what you do not prefer, but the people will have further opportunities to ask for change – that is what democracy is. This government is put in place by the will of the people and we all have to live with it until it’s mandate is over. Then the people have to choose who leads, not you nor I.

  1. When approaching the end of this article, all the readers expecting to see the name of top dogs of TPLFs’ communication bureau and stamp bearing chinese communist mark, but not an ordinary fan of TPLF ‘Belay Ambelay ” The author of this article was waiting to this very day and show his loyality to his masters using this article full of lies and myth .
Again, three decades of TPLF ruling is now culminated and stay strong to be able to confront the depth of sadness .Nebula and Belay Ambelay are ardent supporters of TPLF and eager to carve and erect statues everywhere to show off teh civilization of Axum, their own city with with little to no concern and care to the rest of Tigrayans , like their masters composed of mere adowa ppl, family based monarchy controlling church and secular offices.

  2. You are the one using democracy to stay on power. TPLF has been on power now for 30 years like Gadddafi and issayas and others. I personally do not believe in democracy anymore. Lessons learnt from Tigray? Democracy and human right is a tactic American use to pursue their agenda called American interest. That is why they sponsored Genocide in Tigray bringing Abiy to power and blessing Abiy and Issayas to invade Tigray. i do not believe anymore in democracy and we must have our own system of administration.
You said there is elected government in Tigray? This is an insult to all Tegarus. This is reckless and none sense. it is true TPLF was elected by the people of Tigray. Tigrean’s voted for TPLF. Reason, hoping to keep them safe an secure. It was a contract that they will be elected or voted to protect Tigray. Did TPLF protect Tigray? Nope, we lost big time and I would 100% lost our security. As a result we lost about 1.5 million Tigreans Genocided and about 0.5 million women raped. The whole Tigray turned into ashes? Yet, you have moral to talk about TPLF being elected? this is bullshit man. This is 100% stupidity. TPLF did not maintain the contract it was given. If you take a contract job to do something, if you do not do what you are supposed to do? You lose the contract. It is as simple as that. No more TPLF led Government in Tigray. It is TPLF who put us in danger .
Right now what we need is all inclusive, Tigreans transitional government and also a Trigray Civil Council. The transitional government must include all Tigreans. We must all united. Why do we need TPLF after now? to get what? TPLF cadres, we do not want cadres anymore in any form or shape. We need all to work together.
TPLF failed the test and Tigray has been dying because of them. They have been asked for 20 years to do deal with Eritrean issue and they refused and they kept us in no one war no peace that eventually ended us in the hands of Issayas. They bragged they were ready to fight any external forces that invade Tigray? but they only had 5000 armed men? no weapons, Tigreans were caught un prepared despite it was clear Shabia and Issayas and America were working together to do genocide in Tigray. We told to TPLF danger was coming. But they refused. We told them UAE renting Assab was danger to Tigray. But Dr. D came out and told us Assab is Eritrean and they can do whatever they wanted and there is no danger to Tigray. But we have seen what UAE did to Tigray? now, why do we need TPLF for? to continue bleeding us?

  3. The new Tigray Civil Council must formulate a road map for post transition and it must made up of all Tigreans regardless age, gender, politics. We need our own system that works for us. There is Baito system in Tigray which is much better democracy Baito system involves directly the grass root people and no political party or faction. Everyone participate and able men based on their merit are elected. Baito is far advanced than American democracy. Reason: in Baito system everyone participates above age 18. Everyone participates and people only deal based on ideas presented by everyone. In the village I grew up, people gathered under a fig tree. They all sit under the tree. They discuss everting by raising hands. Everyone listens and memorized what everyone has said. Finally better idea is chosen by raising hands and a person who is known as able man is elected by voting. If he does not do his apointed work, he is replaced immediately with no problem. So why do we need Kutet from America? We need a system after now, not American, Chinese, Russian garbage. We need a system that works for every Tigreway and a system that does not depend or hang on Individuals person. We do not need political party or liberal, jini junka, social democracy, communism, liberalism x, y, z. We need Baito, people must work and live, not hanging on the back of people for 30 years. Enough is enough.
